We gather your personal data includes, but not restricted from:

1. Various type of inquiry, Application and/or Registration Forms (online or manual)
2. All other School and/ Support Services related Request Forms (online or manual)
3. Previous qualification related documents and/ or certificates
4. School works/ assignments

In some instances, your personal data may have been obtained from external sources including, but not restricted to the following:

1. Third parties such as previous educational institutions, law enforcement agencies and other government entities
2. Third party service providers and any other future third parties in relation or incidental to the above
3. Personal data which are available in the public domain
4. Personal data which may be collected from cookies through the use of NDS Malaysia websites

Reason For Personal Data Collection

We collect your personal data includes, but not restricted to:

1. To process application for admission
2. To maintain students’ personal details, academic and non-academic records
3. To facilitate the internship, placement or industrial training as well as co-curricular related activities
4. To provide the relevant administrative support, counselling and financial aids services
5. To manage the use of facilities such as the library, hostel, laboratories and so on
6. To administer the graduation and alumni-related events
7. To administer the tuition fee and other payment
8. To communicate with students on any important announcements, including matters relating to career services, postgraduates’ studies and alumni-related events
9. To collect and relay information to relevant local or international statutory authorities or examination boards
10. To contact the student’s next of kin in case of emergency
11. To comply with any regulatory, audit or security-related requirements

Disclosure Of Personal Data

We disclose your personal data includes, but not restricted to:

1. The Ministry of Higher Education, other relevant government departments/agencies, statutory authorities and industry regulators
2. Malaysian Immigration Department and its appointed agencies
3. Foreign embassies and their selected agencies
4. The police and other enforcement agencies where and when required
5. Your sponsors, including your parents/ guardians
6. Third parties that provide the internships or attachment placements
7. Professional or accreditation bodies
8. NDS Malaysia external counterparts provide articulation or progression of study
9. Third parties appointed by NDS Malaysia to provide services to NDS Malaysia such as auditors, lawyers, contractors, printing companies, travel agencies, training organizers and insurance companies
10. Other institutions or companies within NDS Group (including websites and social media)

Security Measure

We take these measures to protect your personal data:

1. By ensuring your personal data is kept as required by Act 709
2. By ensuring our staff does not misuse your personal data
3. By performing contract/ agreement with third parties that provide the internships or attachment placements and/ or external counterparts providing articulation or progression of study
   

Nevertheless, you are required to ensure the security of your password and not to disclose it to another party to reduce the risk of data breaches

Personal Data Retention Period

We will retain your personal data for seven (7) years/ as long as you become our student/ alumni. If you are no longer our student/ alumni, we will permanently delete your personal data.
